During it's phenomenally scientific productive life - and with hopefully many more years of active work - the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) has produced many awe-inspiring images ...
... none more iconic and enduring than "Pillars of Creation"!
Nestled in the misty blue depths of the Eagle Nebula in the constellation of Serpens, "Pillars of Creation" was initially captured by (HST) in 1995, and was subsequently re-imaged in 2014.
As a professional astrophotographer and artist, my passion is to create thought-provoking deep space images that capture the color, energy, intensity, vastness and fluidity of the night sky.
In 2018 when the raw data of "Pillars" became available, I decided to tackle the challenge to process the data to create a majestic "Pillars" on a grand scale.
Examining the raw data in depth, it became apparent that there were suburb details, complexities, and intricacies not usually observed when viewing a standard size reproduction.
I am proud to present my 47" x 56" richly detailed, artistically stunning rendition of "Pillars of Creation".
